My love for art led me to teaching and teaching led me to ceramics. Quickly, I discovered that kids love clay— they love smashing it, building with it and creating worlds with it. Then, for all of those same reasons, I fell in love with clay too.

Now, I love making functional art and getting my hands dirty rolling out big slabs of clay to make plates and bowls. I glaze with bright colors and then carve playful, simple images that tell little stories. And, to me, eating toast off bright, handmade plates somehow makes the toast taste better.
